Scarborough's Blue Fin Tunny Fishing
From 1930 until the early 1950s Scarborough North Yorkshire played host to some of the countries wealthiest who came in the late summer for the sport of Blue Fin Tunny Fishing, The very wealthy brought their own vessels but in most cases local vessels & crews were hired, Sadly the sport came to an end with the last fish being caught in 1954, several later attempts were to prove fruitless, As with the Tunny, most of the anglers & crews have now passed on..
